HAPPY WEEKEND
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

In Sweden, the nurses are made of fabric. I went to the doctor yesterday, who told me to take a break from the computer for some time. I'll be back in May :) Happy weekend to you all!

NEW GLASSES & AN OLD PATTERN

Bought these glasses on my way home from school today, have been wondering where to find them and today I passed a shop and found them! They are so sweet. The green pattern is a pattern I made a couple of years ago.

THINKING ABOUT ADOLF
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Many years ago I used to sit on Adolf's wood box listening to his stories. One Summer in the late eighties he had a little pig, who lived in his garden, right next to this little house. The little pig had different names depending on what time of the day it was. In the morning his name was Pojk-Lisette (Boy-Lisette) named after my sister. The rest of the day the pig had names of Adolf's favourite comic characters, like Åsa-Nisse and Kronblom.

When I was visiting Adolf last December we were making stories about hands and teeth coming out of the water tap in his ("new") kitchen, because it made such strange noises. Adolf has always had so much imagination, I love to listen to his stories.

COLOURFUL FRIDAY
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Some of my vases and a byebye to Mr Autumn who's moving to London next week. He seems happy.

Don't have any special plans for this weekend except for working a little and read books (the other day I read Je voudrais que quelqu´un m´attande quelque part by Anna Gavalda and really loved some of the short stories, especially the one about the wild pig). If you want to, please tell me about a good book you've read :)

World's best lyrics:
Let me hear you make decisions without your television
Stripped - Depeche Mode (from the best album of all times, Black Celebration (1986))

GOOD MORNING
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I started this morning with a fast walk in the park listening to music. Sat on a bench listening to Smalltown boy looking at everything so green. At home I made breakfast... I don't need much more than good food and love, really. Maybe a balcony, a dog and a turquiose sea to swim in. But good food and love are... more than enough.

AN APRIL TUESDAY
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Andra Långgatan, Gothenburg. I sell my bookmark/calendar in a bookshop there.

Sitting on a green couch after listening to Lotta Kühlhorn at school. Very inspiring! Met Camilla and Morran on my way to school today, which was very nice as well.

In my neighbourhood on my way home from school. It's getting colder, but mmm... everything's so pretty when it's Spring.

LUNCHBREAK
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Spring! Went for a walk at lunchbreak to clear the mind from long discussions in group. It's been a real Monday. But a lovely Monday at the same time. We had lunch on the school's roof and I got some more freckles (and a red nose), then some tea at a café together with a classmate after school. And look at all the cherry blossom... aaah.

WEEKEND
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A few days ago, Gothenburg was invaded by the police.

Friday night started with party. Too much party for a girl's body to take care of. Had lots of fun and thought What the heck, a Saturday in bed could be a good Saturday as well and yesterday I was awake for three hours. Sleeping is good, though poisoning your body isn't. The green and yellow blurry thing is a game I made at school a couple of years ago, together with Mr J and some other classmates. It's become very popular at our parties.

Sunday... We have had breakfast in the garden and now Mr J is taking care of our bikes. Thank you so much for all your sweet Adolf-comments!

AT ADOLF'S
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

It feels odd walking into Adolf's house with no Adolf and scent of his cigars in it.

I never saw his toilet as a child, because I never had to use it. It felt like a secret little room. Adolf didn't have any shower and always came over to take a bath in the sauna with his brother, my Grandfather.

Have spent many hours in Adolf's kitchen as a child, me and my friend used to walk over to his to chat a little hoping to get some candy (always the same).

In Adolf's bedroom hangs a calendar from 1990, the year he moved from the house. Behind his bedroom is the livingroom - a room I never was in as a child. In my family they hardly ever used the livingrooms for guests, always the big big kitchen instead, serving cookies (always the white ones) and lots of coffee.

OLD HOUSE
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Today I've been doing what I love to do; sneak into old buildings.

After some presentations at school I walked home looking at houses (one of my favourite things to do) and taking pictures. Thinking a little too much. Met Mr J in the park and had some icecream before we went home and made tasty dinner with chili and halloumi. How I wish people would be good to eachother.

LAST WEEKEND
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

My Easter was so lovely with the babies.

We made eggs with whitefish roe and here's a chicken I made when I was four.

My best friend Alice pretending to be me :)

Just look at this gorgeous link: Pencil sculptures

MORMORS HUS
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Walking into my Grandmothers house feels like walking into a museum. My uncle lives in the house every second week. She died 11,5 years ago and the house still looks the same. I guess it's his way of keeping her alive, but it feels a little odd being there. I expect her to walk into the room everytime I'm there.

I miss her very much.

FEIERN / CELEBRATE / FIRA
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

We're celebrating our examinations today, both Mr J and I!! Rotkäppchen from former East Germany to drink before we go to a restaurant to have dinner.

I've had such a sweet day today, presenting my work and my audience liked it so much. I'm overwhelmed.

TO FLY AWAY
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

We passed Pennybridge (Mr J's hometown) on our way up to the north.

April... SNOW.

I've had such a sweet weekend, visiting Adolf's house (I'll be updating my flickr with pictures), eating wonderful food, playing with my favourite kids Alice & Lo. Will post more later when I have the time, tomorrow is my last presentation at school and I have to prepare for it. Hope your Easter was sweet :)

YELLOW FOR EASTER
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Me and my friend Sara looked great together today.
I'm your Easter Bunny ;)

Will be going away to see my family over Easter, very nice. Wish you all the very best weekend! I'm not going to touch a computer for a while to rest my poor arm, but I'll be playing a lot with my camera I hope. And have lots of great things to eat. And visit my Grandmother in Korpilombolo.

TO VISIT A FRENCH CAFÉ IN THE MORNING
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

This morning Mr J and I went to a presentation by a classmate, it was great to see her short animated films. Another great thing was to see how it all worked, I don't feel nervous at all now. It's my turn in a week.

After the presentation we walked towards our neighbourhood passing by a cozy french café where we had sandwiches and tea listening to opera. So relaxing. Even though I enjoy silence very much I wouldn't want to live in a small town or no town at all...

MOUSTACHE LADY
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Maybe a good idea when you don't like the smell of cigarettes?

Just look at this! I'm so amazed.

A MONDAY OF WORK
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

A spread from the book I'm working on.

I'm working on my presentation of my senior project, which I'm holding next Tuesday. Have to finish it until this Wednesday since I'm going to visit my family in my old hometown (which I left (happily) eight years ago) over Easter. I'm really looking forward to that.

Mr J and I had the sweetest Sunday yesterday, eating Greek fat food and icecream from Lejonet & Björnen.

FIRST UPDATE OF APRIL
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

New blog look! More space for bigger pictures for example.

It's the first of April and Sunday, lovely day. I'm just relaxing... Updating this, reading a book, eating. Yesterday I watched a movie called The Departed which confused me a lot because of my face blindness. The first thirty minutes I thought the two young men were ONE man, means I thought both Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon were just Leonardo DiCaprio. Oh, how Mr J laughed when I told him. He thought I was kidding. This is why I prefer books instead of movies.

The Departed wasn't a movie I liked very much, but the other day I watched a wonderful German movie called The life of others. So beautiful.
